Welcome to the auction of my Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet Electric Start (ES). Ready to ride for the summer just passed MOT with no advisories. Indian built, 2008 Plate with less than 7,800 miles on the clock. This bike is in the Army green livery and has the cast iron engine with 5 speed gear box. Its thumping good fun to ride and pulls like a train. The bike has been part of my small collection for a couple of years and only used on summer rides and as a static display at Royal British Legion fund raising and Poppy Appeal events, were it always got a lot of attention. It has a couple of minor faults, which if you know anything about this design you will recognise. They are as follows: the electric start does not work (Sprag Clutch worn), so kick start only. This has never been a problem for me as it kick starts easily. It also has a slight static oil weep from the kick start input shaft O ring seal. Both of these are common RE issues. It is in average condition for the year with the natural patina on the bike only adding to its character and overall charm. Also included in the sale are the OEM mirrors, air box, bracket for forward facing spotlights and PDF copy of Pete Snidal Royal Enfield Maintenance Manual.
