Lovely bike, one of my favourites of 50yrs riding .I am only selling due to the acquisition of a camper van . Details are : 2 1/2 yrs ago rebuilt bottom end using quality European bearings , crank balanced ,big end replaced previously. Also renewed was the primary chain, alternator +rotor, oil pump drive shaft and worm drive pinion. I have just renewed the piston and rings as a matter of precaution. The original previous one looked fine after 35,000 miles but they can blow if left to long . Modifications: free flow exhaust (gives a great sound, ) free flow air filter, carburettor jets and throttle slide upgraded to suit. New Period chrome ball end levers , twistgrip and handlebar grips. New Wider black handle bars . British style tyres. New iridium plug . Appearance::Does have blemishes and ,scratches here and there ,but overall a good looking bike . The canvass bags will remain on the bike. The Ride : 60mph (smoothish) cruising ,and more power than standard . The gearbox for a 4 speed bullet is good . The neutral finder works. I have only used silkolene classic 20/50 oil for regular changes. Reliability has been excellent ,although of course I cannot give any guarantees for future ownership . Rear foot pegs , dual seat, air box ,and standard handle bars included.
