Hi and welcome to the auction for my 2006 YZF R1 in black with some nice extras which was brought with the intention of joining my mate on a few track days this year. (V5 Present and in my name) So, long story short but I brought this bike with an electrical fault / non runner and unseen (Not my finest moment but we have all done it). I quickly found the electrical issue and the bike came alive but the plot thickened when I hit the starter switch for the first time. It transpires the bike had dropped a valve on cylinder 1 and gone in to self destruct! Rather than give up I managed to acquire a new head, valves, pistons, conrods and block from a lower mileage (circa 19000m) 2006 bike. I have the old damaged items (see other listings) and have receipts for the new parts fitted so she's now back up and running. Sadly I have just lost interest in it now and missed most of the track days I was going to do so its up for sale so someone can get a few rides in before the winter. I also have a rare week off work so can be flexible on viewings at my house. Sadly no test rides as it doesn't have an MOT and is uninsured. I've given the warning to expect usual wear but overall its a nice looking bike which I'm only selling as track days wont know happen for me this year and also got to many other toys.
