Hi, here for auction is my 1999 Kawasaki ZR-7. This bike has been used as a year round commuter until about a year ago when I moved house and put the bike into storage. For this reason I have listed the bike as a project bike as it will need a number of things done before it is road worthy. Needless to say it is not mot'd. The bike has covered almost 25,000 miles and has been serviced by myself every 4,000 miles. It's overall condition is a bit rough but not horrendous. The paint and powder coat is mostly good and would clean up well but there are areas of rust and surface corrosion, namely the centre stand and swing arm and the top box rack. also parts of the engine paint are rough. The list of things that the bike will need are as follows; new chain and sprockets, front callipers stripped and re-built at least, new rear tyre, service, rear calliper stripped and re-built, possibly a new battery. The brakes are very simple to do, I have rebuilt them twice since I have had this bike and will include whatever seals I can find. Engine wise it starts and runs fine and can be seen running. it cant be ridden though as the chain has been removed and bakes are off so I can move it about. for this reason the winning bidder will need to collect the bike with a van or trailer. Trying to be as honest as possible here as this bike owes me nothing and I am just trying to move it on to a new home. It is being listed as an auction with no reserve. Would suit someone looking for an easy project or a cheap reliable commuter/hack.
