This is like a new bike given the time and cash spent. I picked this bike up 12 months ago as a project to build a japan style old school bobber and I’m pretty satisfied with the finish .. everyone to their own! It attracts attention everywhere it goes. Anyway, I’ve gone all out and given this bike a new lease of life both mechanically and aesthetically. It’s a 2005 XL 1200 C Sportster with 13,700 miles on the clock and comes with a full 12 months MOT! The reserve for this bike is nowhere near the money I have in this bike and can reassure you it wants for nothing and has been built my one of the biggest Harley enthusiasts there is …. Me! The Carb has been re-jetted to 45 jet and cleaned so is ticking over nicely and barely needs the choke on cold start up. Every fitting where possible on this bike has either had a new gasket or grease so I’d say better than they are when they leave the factory. The pipes sounds amazing and are not any louder than Vance & Hines Short Shots … well maybe a little! I’m not joking about it sounding amazing. I have a massive box of accessories and bits and pieces that’s come off this bike so the new owner is welcome to these if they wish. The bike has had a nice neat and tidy wire tuck underneath the tank, all wiring has been done professionally by use of soldering iron and shrink wrap. The 2004-2006 XL 1200 were recalled due to the fuel tap rubbed diaphragm perishing which prevents fuel getting to the carb but I’ve also taken care of this and now has a fuel tap which operates ON and OFF. It’s up to you if you want the crown fuel cap .. I think they look brilliant but don’t advise driving with it on as it would take your face off in the event of a crash so I use the flat fuel cap for riding and crown for photo shoots … This bike is doing the round online! Side Mount Licence Plate Holder & Taillight Fresh Oil (Both Engine & Primary) Speedo Side Mounted New Exhaust & Wrap LED Turn Signals with Resistors Wired in to meet UK guidelines Exhaust Flanges, Bolts & gaskets Cylinder Top Ends Rebuilt With Fresh Gaskets Ignition Dashboard Side Mounted For Sleek Look Rear Fender Rails Chopped, Primed, Painted and Clear Coated Fabricated Solo Seat Bracket Brand New Battery Old School Tank Decals Replacement M12 Rear Shock Bolts Fabricated Side Mount Coil Front shock housing cleaned up and clear coated New flexible 6x4 licence plate Picked this up as an advisory on the V5 stating the bike damaged but repairable unfortunately but has no bearing on the bikes condition at all which was a surprise because all it needed was new exhaust mufflers and front brake lever. Insurance companies are making a habit of this! Amazing bike and reluctant sale, if it doesn’t sell I’ll happily hang on to it as it puts a smile on my face! Cash on collection.
