1970 Honda CL175K0 Unregistered US Import Barn Find Classic Restoration Project Manufacturer: Honda Model: CL175K3 Year: 1970 Engine No: CL175E-1019020 Frame No: CL175-1018992 Colour: Glittery Silver Mileage: 13954 Capacity: 174cc Starting at: £999.99 Stock No: 88715 This very rare and much sought after Tax & MOT exempt 1970 Honda CL175K0 scrambler has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 13954 miles and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Mirrors, ball ends off the levers & ignition key being the most obvious. It has stood a while so the battery is flat, non standard paintwork is faded, tyres are perished, tank is mucky inside & carburettors are stuck. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plates. Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid & are reasonably tidy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & hangers. Instruments & switches look ok. Exhausts are original & solid. Seat is in good condition throughout. The engine is cosmetically clean but sadly it is seized, hopefully it will be through standing around forever but we have not inspected the engine internally so we have no idea why/how it has seized. The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. BUT, for bikes over 40 years old, if you want us to do it all for you - Inc a number plate, we charge just £100 to cover our admin costs. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH THE US CERTIFICATE OF TITLE AND WE WILL PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE VAT & DUTY IS PAID ON THE NOVA SYSTEM.(This can take upto 4 weeks). Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles under 40 years old only) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. The American Title is a recognised document for this purpose. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
