2004 Ducati 749 Monoposto Unregistered JAP Import RUNNING Italian Exotica project Manufacturer: Ducati Model: 749 Monoposto Year: 2004 Engine No: Unavailable Frame No: ZDMH500AD4B008334 Colour: Red Mileage: 28801 KM Capacity: 748cc Starting at: £999.99 Stock No: 88651 This fine looking piece of Italian exotica namely 2004 Ducat 749 Monoposto has recently been imported from Japan where it has spent all its life. This and the fact it's only showing 28801km (18000 miles) and has been in dry storage for the last umpteen years have helped maintain its boyish good looks. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........As you may or may not know, here at DK Motorcycles we have very little knowledge or experience with these classic Italian bikes but luckily you aficionados usually put us right!?. As you can see this bike looks to be complete but has seen some action on both sides with typical sliding damage to both sides of the fairing & tail piece. There is also a minor scuff on the r/h engine cover & 2 small paint chips on the top of the tank. It hasn’t stood forever as there is life in the battery, clean fuel in the tank & life left in the Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tyres which have ZERO chicken strips on the edges!!!. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS.........The wheels are straight with nice clean alloy, Good discs, calipers & working master cylinders. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome & clean alloy. Tail light assy is good as are the headlights. Instruments & switches look great and all the lights, horn, indicators etc are working. Fuel tank is squeaky clean inside. Exhausts are solid. Shock absorber is damping fine. The engine is cosmetically clean BUT BEST OF ALL it fires, starts, runs & revs. This is only a very brief description….If you are placing a bid reliant on parts that can’t be seen in the pictures being there and/or in serviceable condition or require any further information or more pictures please give us a call or message us. We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.(This can take upto 4 weeks) You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles over 40 years old are MOT exempt) You need proof of the year of manufacture in writing. Owners clubs and associations can help with this. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
