1994 Ducati 400SS Junior Unregistered Running JAP Import Project Manufacturer: Ducati Model: 400SS Junior Year: 1994 Engine No: ZDM400L2001035 Frame No: ZDM400J000318 Colour: Red Mileage: 40429 KM Capacity: 398cc Starting at: £1499.99 Stock No: 88652 This diminutive 1994 Ducati 400SS Junior has recently been imported from Japan. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has few parts missing, but the mirrors are a bit loose and there is corrosion on the engine cases. A lot of the extremities are mildy damged from minor spills. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels are straight with nice clean paint, good discs, calipers and working master cylindes. The forks and yokes look straight but some pitting can be felt at the back of the legs. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded but solid, fuel tank has some rust spots inside, and corrosion under the fuel cap. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard/hugger is tidy. Both mud guards are solid. The standard exhaust is solid, but the down pipes are rusted. We have had this bike firing/running & revving on the fuel in the tank, but the fuel system & carbs will need attention. If you are ready for a new project and have been looking for a classic Ducati SS400 to restore then look no further – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!! We HAVE NOT got the Certificate of Title but we will provide proof that VAT & Duty is paid on the NOVA system.(This can take upto 4 weeks) You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles over 40 years old are MOT exempt) You need proof of the year of manufacture in writing. Owners clubs and associations can help with this. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number.
