Here is my Kawasaki KZ1300.1979. T registration. So now over 40 years old and therefore Tax and MOT exempt.Eligible for cheap classic insurance.I sent the V5 off last week which should come back soon stating it is now a historic vehicle. Imported in 2016. The paint had faded so it has been freshly re painted, it is a really great professional job and I love the colour. Recent full service including:Valve clearances.Rocker cover repainted. New quality plugs.Oil and filter.Good battery.Coolant changed.New fork seals.Full brake service, fluids and pads.Shaft oil replaced. The bike has Marving exhausts on it which sound really nice. (One has a tiny dink in it as shown in the pics)It has new replacement Hagon shocks. The bike is in superb very original condition. I has everything there, so the tool tray, tool kit, little book etc.All the bolts are the original numbered bolts.It has NOT been restored to concours show condition. I personally prefer it more original, so it hasn't had the engine cases polished to mirror finish, instead it is very original. It has no rust or rot. Everything works. All the electrics, cut out switch / alarm thing on the side panel, etc. To go with it have have an immaculate pair of original silencers and most of the bits needed to fit them:6 copper washers that go at the top of the manifold.4 exhaust clamps.2 big silencer clamps.The chrome covers / heat shields for the exhaust. 2 smaller ones, 2 bigger ones.4 of the black gasket tubes that go into the collector box.I have an old tatty set of collectors which would need a bit of work if you decide to use them. The alternative is to buy link pipes from Z1300.DE which cut out the need for the collectors.The bike is running the standard manifold / downpipes which are in very good condition.Most of the above parts are very rare and hard to find now. This is the small sump model. Read the reviews about small sumps which say regularly check the oil and keep it full and it won't be a problem. Thats what the experts say anyway! You will see cheaper Z13's with high mileage, rebuilt engines, bits missing, rotted out exhausts. If you think buying a cheaper bike is a good idea then think again. So many parts are no longer available and it will cost you a fortune to restore.
