Description
I picked this up from the original owner in Oct 18. He had looked after it himself as he never intended to sell it. There are receipts for servicing but it's not comprehensive. But all the major work has been done to this bike. Forks were done at around 15k, Valve clearances were done by him at my request before I picked the bike up. I checked these again in August this year when I changed the spark plugs and all are within tolerance. In August it also had the following done by me: New brake pads - EBC HH sintered (front) New fluid front and rear Oil change - Sept 19 (less than 1k since) Coolant change and flush - Sept 19 New fairing bolts The Chain and sprockets are in good condition (Renthal), the gearbox is perfect and the engine runs perfect and at 23800 miles it is very low mileage for this generation of fireblade. Brakes and clutch also work perfectly fine with no issues. The bike has only been ridden once since November last year. I have fitted heated grips as I like to extend the riding season if I can, but as I only ride for pleasure I also don't use it unless it's a dry day. I have completed covered the bike in ACF50 though for when I do take it out. I have also fitted a gear indicator as my previous bike had one and I really missed it. It really does make a difference. It has an upgraded screen but the original comes with the bike as does the pillion seat. I also have the original exhaust which is in excellent condition. Brake hoses are uprated braided ones by goodridge, front and rear and due to the alarm and immobiliser I have installed a battery maintainer. This will come with the bike but is only needed if you don't ride for a few weeks. Included along with some receipts are all previous MOT's Original books and sales invoice, original Honda toolkit, rear seat, original exhaust in excellent condition, spare alarm fob but only one key. The bike is data tagged as well. Bad Points: .Absolutely nothing Mechanical to my knowledge. The plastics aren't perfect at all as it is 18 years old and it has a small dent in the tank. The rear hugger has a small hole in it from rubbing on the tyre when the incorrect one was fitted many years ago. The wheels could probably do with a refurb eventually due to a few scratches here and there but are perfectly presentable. MOT is due in Oct 20. Selling as I have gone back to a naked bike for this riding season. Video's of the bike are available on request. This bike will only go up in value from here on in. It is considered by many to be the last true fireblade. It weighs less than the cbr600rr of the same generation so is essentially a 600 but with litre bike power. It is cheap to run as well. I have it insured fully comp with bemoto as a 2nd bike for just £60 a year !
