I purchased this bike in September 2015 because I had had one in the sixties. It sat in the garage until MOT'd in May 2016 with a recorded mileage of 20,145. It required a retest because the front side light was intermittent and the petrol tap leaked. Both these were fixed, the fuel tap being replaced with a new one. The old one had disintegrated inside the tank. The previous owner fitted a new clutch in 2015.The current mileage reading is 20,149, 4 miles in 4 years, no time to ride it. I fitted a second new battery in 2019 and kept it on trickle charge. The bike starts but runs rough, the carburettor needs cleaning and setting up properly. The bike is basically in good condition and looks smart, the tank panels are silvered instead of chromed but are solid and could be re-chromed. The exhaust pipe from the engine to the silencer has been repaired near the silencer with a short piece of pipe but is gas tight. I do have a replacement pipe that is solid but have never fitted.The electrics work, the gears are all there and the seat is in good repair. The chrome on the wheels is in very good condition.The bike is fitted with a full chain guard The bike has no history but is registered in my name. I am told that the Reg number: 'LTD 68C' is worth up to £1,000 if transferrable (Not confirmed).The bike comes with a Haynes manual.The bike is sold as seen and the photographs form part of the description.The bike must be paid for in full before test riding or at collection, cash only preferred.I will make the bike available for a courier collection if required.Will not sell outside the United Kingdom
