Thanks for looking at my listing for a 1999 BMW R1100S. I'm selling this bike as it just isn't being used. It's really just way too much for my normal journeys in the rural area where I live; I have other (smaller) bikes. The bike has been garaged throughout my ownership-and has spent most of its time in there. Took the bike for an MOT on 30th May 2020 and went straight through with no advisories. Just over 21,500 miles recorded on the clock, which is consistent with the MOT history. I purchased this in 2016 after it had been sat unused in a garage for several years. All of the fuel system from inside the tank to the injectors was then cleaned/replaced as required, and the bike was serviced. There have been some minor additions, too, during my ownership and all were new, apart from the centre stand: Odyssey battery, starter motor and positive terminal on the starter just in case the battery fails so the bike can be 'jumped' from an external source. The battery has been kept charged intermittently via a plug-in connector and the engine fired up from time to time. The receipts/MOT certificates and history I have for the bike will come with it. This bike was described as an accident repairable category D way back in 2002 and the damage was apparently minor and cosmetic. It was repaired c. 14 years before I purchased it. Apart from what's referred to above and e.g. the aftermarket screen/front mudguard, as far as I can tell it's in standard, unmolested condition. Clearly, it's not new and in showroom condition but really not bad at all for a 21 year old bike. The bike is currently declared SORN due to lack of use. As she's been standing (with c. 1/4 tank of old petrol), I gave her a bit of a run and filled up with fresh fuel on the way back from the MOT station; she's good to go. All this BMW really needs is someone who'll use her... Cash on collection or bank transfer. PayPay okay if the buyer pays their fees. Any questions, fire away.
