Nice factory standard example of Triumph's cafe racer 900. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yALnBkMFCQc short video start up, run, walkaround. Is 1996 so is 6 speed. Starter sprag is fine, clean and instant start with no noises off-stage. Fork protectors and front guard extension and solo hump. Also have factory pillion handle and infill pad if want to take QD cowl off and take a passenger......recommended.....even folk not used to bikes be fine on the back! Good seat, good grab rail, good footrests at sensible position. The grunty engine can pull smooth, can go quick, but smooth with it. I know these are a big bike by modern standards, but are very very stable out on the road, even on motorways! Bike is factory apart from pattern replacement horns, that do look similar, and polished out wheel rims (not shiny polished, just no paint). Obviously you could have the wheels powder coated all black (or rattle can if tight), and National Triumph would have a pair of stock horns if want it total factory.......these are going up in value, a Fireball just made over 4k! Mileage is 33k, which is a 1000 a year, so not excessive. Have found bikes with say 10k on the clock could have been paid up unused for years and be a bag of nails if actually want to ride them! These are great fun to ride. The riding position is very comfortable, as one rests on tank, and clocks act like a mini fairing. Keep a lot of wind off you, but enough to take weight off your arms and wrists. Video is start from cold. Fires up instantly and runs clean and strong. Note exhaust is nice, the cans are really good, a lot are not! Bike is on N reg and does have a smallish metal 3D plate as can see.....do have the standard regulation one if a bit windy.....or your MOT man is.......long MOT until March. Have checked the coils and ignition sensor as matter of course, and are fine. The seat cowl and fixings are correct factory ones. Very few all uptogether decent running ones about. Does have some marks etc, stone tinks on tank etc, but no major cosmetics, and wheels and cases are not all blown up with oxide etc etc. Come to Leominster station and ride home, or can get it delivered to most of UK for £100....not they are flat out busy at the moment, so allow at least a week to receive! At that price is not next day.......payment by bank transfer before uplift, or £200 deposit by bank transfer or paypal and can do cash on delivery. Had bought to replace Super 3 that was to be broken at 83k miles, but as bike is still mint, and rides perfectly, have decided to replace the duff sprag and keep riding after all.......... On 10-Jun-20 at 17:36:25 BST, seller added the following information: Eagle eye noted rear brake pedal for weird feet.....is now set as per normal-person operation........also have replaced front brake fluid and cleaned/rotated pistons for free movement and firm pedal. Although excellent EBC pads, it was a tad spongier than how it should be........... I do have the original black pillion grab handle and infill pad, which will include if bike makes over 2400......note seat is excellent, and seat cowl is fifed and factory.....they can now make over £200 on their own. They are QD to take pillion, and pillion seat and rests are excellent, even for novice passengers..................On 13-Jun-20 at 13:58:08 BST, seller added the following information: Confirm auction will run, so bike is on sale. Also grab handle will come with bike. Also confirm exhaust is solid. The headers are the stainless ones, the silencers are not scrapped, nor are there and repairs to mounts or to input welds etc. Could sell them for £400 these days......in fact could easily break the bike for way more than what is selling for at the moment!! Check the prices! This one looks like is going under the radar......about my normal luck on ebay...........still live in hope...........is for sale anyway, must go..............
