1972 Triumph T120R Bonneville 650cc Here is a very honest example of a genuine U.K. T120R Bonneville that has spent its entire life in and around Derby! It has its original engine, frame & registration. Recorded mileage of 33,000 could well be genuine. It starts well and sounds excellent mechanically. No rattles or smoke and no oil leaks! Ok, so it’s been given a bit of a café racer paint job back in the day but apart from that the bike is extremely genuine and original. It is great to ride, lovely gearbox and clutch and smooth acceleration and power delivery. Electrics are working well with good charge. A new battery has been fitted. Speedometer and rev counter are working well properly. Handling and brakes are good too. The bike comes with V5C, date of registration is 16th April 1973. Registration TRC19L is original. Frame number is T120R BG47178, engine number is T120R BG47178. The bike is eligible for Historic Class free road tax and is MOT exempt. Cosmetically the bike is averagely presentable, albeit in a used and older bike looking type of way. Paint work on frame is very good condition good quality but quite old enamel. The tank and guards have an average quality finish. Both wheel rims are very good original Dunlops. Chrome on rear rim is a bit dull and faded but sound. Spokes front and rear are old, dull but sound originals too. Tyres are very good Avon Roadrunners. Seat is in good condition, exhaust is excellent. There is no fin damage and the engine is oil tight All in all this is an excellent genuine Bonneville that has come through the years without being messed about with. Only the late 70’s / early 80’s paint job detracts from its originality. A great period looking bike to enjoy as it is or ideal as an easy cosmetic restoration project.
