1970 Norton Commando 750cc Roadster, Here is a beautiful, basically original un-restored , most probably very low mileage Commando from the early full width hub period. It starts easily and sounds perfect mechanically. Really mechanically quiet no smoke, no rattles and oil tight. The bike rides beautifully, gearbox , clutch , brakes, speedo & rev counter all in excellent order. Lights are all good and charging system is working correctly. The bike comes with V5C doc, registration BHY697H. Frame number is 136508 (original VIN plaque still intact) Engine number 20M3S 136508. (Gearbox is also 136508) The bike is registered for Historic Class therefore road tax is free. The bike is MOT exempt. Cosmetically the bike is generally excellent, but not pristine as it is not restored. The bike has spent its entire life in Canada, where the riding season is short. The recorded mileage of only 8700 miles is not verifiable but I’m sure this is a very low mileage example. The paintwork on the frame is the original and it has thinned and faded. Paintwork ion tank and side panels is excellent, must have been repainted at some point. There are only a couple of very tiny marks. Front rim is original Dunlop with basically good chrome, a few dull patches. Original dull but sound spokes. Front tyre is old looking ribbed Avon about 25% worn. Rear rim is excellent original Dunlop, rear spokes are sound dull originals. Rear tyre is excellent hardly used Dunlop TT100. There is no fin damage and the engine is oil tight. The exhaust system is very good and the seat is excellent. This is a super original unrestored Commando Roadster in excellent running order.
