1975 Honda CB400F Café Racer Unregistered US Import Clean Classic Project Manufacturer: Honda Model: CB400F Café Racer Year: 1975 Engine No: CB400FE-1021763 Frame No: CB400F-1021730 Colour: Yellow Mileage: 28127 Capacity: 408cc Starting at: £99.99 Stock No: 88307 This striking 1975 Honda CB400F Café Racer has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it. The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest it all starts here!. PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has been modified and changed. It looks striking and need some careful finishing. There isn't a key and the ignition looks a bit mauled. There is a repair to some damage on lower crankcase half on the right at the front. BUT NOW FOR THE GOOD NEWS......... The wheels look straight with chrome rims, a good disc, caliper but the front brake doesn't work. Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome. Tail light assy is good as are the headlight & cowl. Aside from a minor dink in the tacho the clocks look okay. Paintwork is bright is a bit knocked here and there. The fuel tank is clean inside. The seat unit is in pretty good condition. Chain guard is tidy. The diminutive front mud guards tidy. The black $ - 1exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention. If you are ready for a new project & have been thinking about doing a Café Racer special then think no more. – THIS ONE COULD BE YOURS!!! The bike is currently unregistered. The registration process is reasonably uncomplicated. BUT, for bikes over 40 years old, if you want us to do it all for you - Inc a number plate, we charge just £100 to cover our admin costs. THIS VEHICLE COMES WITH THE US CERTIFICATE OF TITLE AND WE WILL PROVIDE PROOF THAT THE VAT & DUTY IS PAID ON THE NOVA SYSTEM.(This can take upto 4 weeks). Registration. You need to get the bike MOTed. (Vehicles under 40 years old only) You need proof of year of manufacture in writing. The American Title is a recognised document for this purpose. You need to have valid insurance on the bike. You can insure it on the chassis number. Send all this paper work to the DVLA, who will charge you £55 for the 1st registration plus the current amount for the road tax. The DVLA will send you your age related registration number. Spares you may need Our used spares dept may carry items you need for this project, give them a call on 01782 862200, if parts are available they will be happy to list them on EBay so you can purchase.
